My son tagged out during youth hunt so the wife was up to bat we went out Friday with no deer in sight. Then yesterday morning (9/20/2025) I got a picture of a nice buck going into the bedding area for the day at 8 am. I sent the wife a text and asked if she wanted to hunt that night and she said she did. So I left work at 3pm picked her up from the house and we headed out to the spot. We got set up 15 yards off an active scrape around 4:30. We sat there with absolutely no movement so around 6:45 I decided to do some rattling and not 15 minutes later a beautiful 8 point showed up worked the scrape and gave her a perfect broadside shot at 15 yards! This is her first and biggest buck to date. He weighed in at 216 pounds dressed out!!
